Every once in a while, you find a website worth sharing with your friends. The Oatmeal is a fantastic humor site, addressing Twilight, the origins of coffee, and how to use apostrophes. My personal favorite is 7 Reasons to Keep Your Tyrannosaur OFF Crack Cocaine.

iPhone Paperweight

Well, in case anyone manages to find my site via Google, I’ve just bricked my iPhone by installing SwirlyMMS and the MMS Enabler for the iPhone 2G. Or at least that’s what I’m thinking the problem is. My phone wouldn’t boot at all, so I managed to put the phone into DFU mode by holding down the power and home buttons for 10 seconds, then releasing the power button, leaving you with whatever recovery screen you have by default. Then restore with iTunes and you should be set.

DRM-Free Rhapsody Music

Real Networks has finally caught onto the DRM-free music trend. Mp3.Rhapsody.com now offers DRM-free mp3′s at higher quality than iTunes’ m4a. “We’re no longer competing with the iPod. We’re embracing it…” (Neil Smith, Vice President, RealNetworks). Looks like I can dump the iTunes Music Store completely now, except for the hard-to-find artists. I’ve been tired of having to use Requiem to strip DRM from my m4p files to convert them to m4a.

WordPress Upgrade and Automatic Upgrade Plugin

I’ve just updated to the newest version of WP 2.5 – I know, I’m slow. The new version includes a freshly updated UI for the administration side of things. I’ve also installed the WordPress Automatic Upgrade plugin, which allows for backup of your files and database before automatically automagically updating your version of WordPress.

Utah Artists Project

I’ve just begun redesigning and restructuring the Utah Artists Project (original website), a website containing biographies and artwork of various Utah Artists. See the project in progress. It’s running Joomla! Update: I’ve taken down the site, as my employer has chosen to go with a different (read:crappy) CMS, Vignette.
